The Revolution

Defiant is a new way of distilling. We’re not bound by barrels or recipes or tradition. Our guides are the best ingredients, Mother Nature and our own intuition. We only use four ingredients. Nothing more. Premium American white oak, toasted to perfection. Specially cultured yeast, selected by our Master Distiller. Two-row premium brewer’s barley. Pure water from the Blue Ridge Mountains drawn from a lime stone cavern aquifer upon which we have built our distillery atop. Start with quality, end with quality. Water

We found our water source before we built the distillery that sits upon it. From the peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the glass in your hand. Our water is pure. Nothing added. No filtering needed.

Yeast

Mash into whisky. Fermentation is the most important part of the process. And we wouldn’t trust our whisky with anything but the finest.

Barley

Two-row premium malted brewer’s barley. More flavor, better notes. Cracked on a custom roller mill. This is where our single malt begins.

Oak Maturation

Our proprietary aging process is far more efficient than barrels. We use cuts of hand selected premium American white oak, toasted to perfection. How old is it? Take a sip, then take a guess.
